School Carnival

On Saturday Keegan's school hosted their annual Halloween Carnival and the boys were so excited to finally put on their costumes.

Keegan is Ghost Rider this year. He has fallen in LOVE with the movie and just had to be him for Halloween. The mask didn't quite work for him so I tried my hand at face painting. I think I did a pretty good job being the first time I have ever face painted. Well Keegan was proud of how he looked so that is all that matters.

It took forever to decide on what Cameron was going to be. At first he wanted to be Thomas the Train, then it was Sponge Bob and when I couldn't find the costumes I had no idea what to do. Well Old Navy pulled through and I found a few that I liked. So I had Cameron pick one out and of course he didn't want any of them. So I over ruled and picked the tiger. He LOVES it. He has been begging to wear it since we had brought it home.

I thought I would see how he would do with face paint before Halloween came. Well he sat through the whole thing without any complain and he barely even touched his face throughout the night. He was such a champ! When I had to wash it off that night, he was quite sad. "No more Rah Rah Mama" he kept telling me.

Heather and the girls meet us there and they all had a blast. Heather made the girls vampire costumes and I think she did a GREAT job! GO HEATHER!!!!

Delton helped out while I took the pictures. They had to try their hand at the cupcake walk and luck was not on our side. None of the kids got one. Oh well there is always next year right?

Overall the kids had a blast as usual. Both the boys didn't want to take their costumes off or even wash their make up off. But we finally got them all cleaned up with the promise of doing it all over again in a few days!

The Fair

Another tradition that I have come to adopt, which means Delton has adopted it too is going to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. I love just going. So off we were to the fair.

Both Cameron and Keegan had a blast on this "train". Keegan was in the lady bug and Cameron had the goose. The kid who was driving the four wheeler that pulled the train gave the kids a great ride. There were laughs all around.

The petting zoo has become a #1 place to stop with the boys. Cameron went right on in and had no problem feeding the goats. Keegan has become Mr. Independant with the animals. He doesn't want my help anymore and he kind of goes off on his own. It's actually quite cute but at the same time a little sad.

When we walked past these bears, Keegan just had to get all the info on them. Cameron wasn't too sure about them. Once we spent a few minutes near them and he realized that they weren't real, he was ok to pose by them. So this is my boys being bears! Not very convincing is it? LOL

The next place we have come to learn there is not getting out of it, is the fairway. The boys are loving it now! Keegan is getting big enough that he can ride the bigger "kiddie" rides and he loves it. Cameron of course wants to go on anything Keegan does so it was a little disappointing for him when he couldn't. He still had a lot of fun on his rides.

Keegan remembered the slide from last year, so that was a have to ride for him. He just loves going down it.

Delton and Cameron just enjoyed all the sights and sounds of the fairway. You can just tell that they are having a good time. We all were.

So at the end of the day, we hit the food court of course. I had to have a funnel cake and Delton had his carmel apples. The boys just munched on ours along with their cotton candy. Yum Yum We were going to go and look through some more but the boys were about done and I was too. Being pregnant at the fair took its toll on me and I was ready to go sit down somewhere. I wish I had the energy to stay but I didn't so we decided to go on home. It was a good day and full of many memories! Can't wait to go next year. :)

It's a Boy!!

I know this isn't really "new" news but I just had to put it on here and Baby #3 needs his pictures posted too. I don't want him to feel left out. hehe Anyways, so about a month ago we found out that we were having another boy. At first the doc couldn't get a very good shot of him, but soon enough he decided not to be shy anymore and there he was in all of his glory! Keegan is excited to have another brother and Cameron is still thinking that there is a monster in my tummy. So it will be interesting to see what will happen when the baby is born and it's not a monster. :) We have no idea what to name this one. All the names I keep coming up with Delton is not liking. So that is why I am still refering to him as Baby #3. Sad huh? So we will see, hopefully one day soon we can agree on a name.

I know these aren't the greatest ultra sound pictures and I am hoping everyone will be able to tell what they are, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. :)
This pic is showing us his goodies. He is sitting on the camera and his bum is to the right of the picture. The long white straight thing that is near the middle left is his leg and if you look just above the leg and near his bum (kind of near the middle of the pic), you will see his peepee. :)

This one is of his face. His eyes are to the left of the pic and he is holding his fist up near his mouth. So his arm is coming from the right of the pic.

Good luck in trying to make it all out!!

It's Snowing!!

So we had our first real snow fall for the season and it is still coming down. I LOVE it and the boys love it too. They woke up first thing this morning and wanted to go straight outside and play. So once we got breakfast down and all bundled up, out we went.

Gabby just had fun running her nose through the snow. She was like a minature snow plow.

Cameron wasn't quite sure in the beginning, he just slowly walked through the snow trying to keep the snow off his face. It was pretty funny. Once he got the hang of the snow in his eyes, off he went.

Keegan started right off with throwing snowballs at Gabby. She would just try and catch them or run around Keegan having a blast.

Cameron enjoyed just throwing the snow up in the air and letting it fall on Gabby or himself. Gabby just kept running back and forth between Keegan and Cameron, trying to lick the snow off their gloves.

They are all ready to go out again but they need to warm up, have some lunch and then more than likely we will be outside once again playing and maybe a snowman will be built.

First Day of First Grade

I know...I know...I am way late on all of these posts. But at least I am trying to get caught up. Doesn't that count for something? hehe So anyways...Keegan has started first grade and he is LOVING it!

He actually says he likes first grade better than kindergarten. Of course it is because he gets 2 recesses and gets to eat lunch there, but hey, if that gets him up in the morning without any complaints than I am ok with that.

I am actually very lucky with him, he has never said he wants to miss school. He likes going and he is doing really well so far. So hopefully this will still continue through all of his schooling.

His teacher is fantastic. She is very upbeat and on top of things. So I think we lucked out with another great teacher.

He is my little nerd and I love it. He is reading so much better all ready and he is really enjoying math. He is growing up, which is a little sad but at the same time I am so proud of him.

I know it's a little late...

So I finally got Cameron's 2 year pics done. I know he turned 2 back in May but between me and the baby, and then family here and then everytime I thought we could do it either he got a bug bite on his face, a scratch or a bruise. So timing worked out right this week and I went with Heather to get his pictures done along with Kenzie's. He wasn't the most cooperative but we got a few good ones. The pics with the ball is when we were trying to bribe him into smiling. He wanted the ball, so he smiled for it. Isn't that sad that I have to bribe my child? hehe Oh well, I got what I want...a picture with his beautiful smile!!

Yucky Yuck MRSA

So as you all might know, on August 23rd Cameron was admitted to the hospital with a horrible skin infection called MRSA. It was awful. Cameron was real trooper though. He stayed in his bed and overall left his IV alone. He hated every morning since they came in to draw blood but we were lucky enough that he responded well to the antibiotics and got to go home 4 days later. In the pics it doesn't even look like he was sick which was the hard part. He almost acted normal except for the awful looking sore on his thigh.

He had to show off his ouchies for the camera. This one is from getting his blood drawn.

They had a very hard time getting the IV in. His arm is just too chunky! So this one is actually his first IV. They ended up giving him another one on Tuesday because his hand and fingers got really swollen and purple.

Keegan was really worried about his brother. He didn't do well at all when they had to put the first IV in and then he kept asking if Cameron was going to die and how much he loves playing with his little brother. He is such a sweetie and he loves Cameron so much. I think he actually was having just as hard of time as mommy and daddy were. So after school on Monday, I took Keegan to pick out a Get Well balloon and a little get well gift. Keegan thought that was the greatest thing to do. So he picked a balloon, a motorcycle toy and a stuff shark. Cameron to this day still has to sleep with the shark. He LOVED it! So Keegan felt very special. Grandma and Grandpa Gould also sent a teddy bear and some candy in hopes that Cameron would start getting better. He loved the teddy and asked for candy morning, noon, and night.

Once they clarified that he did have MRSA he got this nice little sign in front of his room. The nurses were always all decked out in their garb anytime they came in. Cameron had no idea what to do in the beginning, then it just became something that was boring.

He was so happy to get a clean bed and a clean gown. Even though this is when he needed his second IV. Actually this pic was taken within a few hours after the IV. Mommy was having a harder time with it than he was. As you can see he is as happy as can be.

He was just being really cute that evening so I had to get my close up. His eyes are bright and he looks so happy you wouldn't believe he was in the hospital with something that could very well have killed him.

It was just a really scary situation. Once they started telling us about MRSA and I started researching it, I never realized how bad it could have gotten. There were so many what ifs and what could happen, it was overwhelming. We were just very blessed with friends and family that prayed for him and he was able to respond to the antibiotics and come home earlier. He is still responding very well to his oral antibiotics and hopefully when we go to his check up next week, he will be out of the woods. I hope we never have to go through that again. So THANK YOU everyone who had Cameron in their thoughts and prayers. You help pull him through.
