I know...I know...I am way late on all of these posts. But at least I am trying to get caught up. Doesn't that count for something? hehe So anyways...Keegan has started first grade and he is LOVING it!
He actually says he likes first grade better than kindergarten. Of course it is because he gets 2 recesses and gets to eat lunch there, but hey, if that gets him up in the morning without any complaints than I am ok with that.
I am actually very lucky with him, he has never said he wants to miss school. He likes going and he is doing really well so far. So hopefully this will still continue through all of his schooling.
His teacher is fantastic. She is very upbeat and on top of things. So I think we lucked out with another great teacher.
He is my little nerd and I love it. He is reading so much better all ready and he is really enjoying math. He is growing up, which is a little sad but at the same time I am so proud of him.

I know it's a little late...
So I finally got Cameron's 2 year pics done. I know he turned 2 back in May but between me and the baby, and then family here and then everytime I thought we could do it either he got a bug bite on his face, a scratch or a bruise. So timing worked out right this week and I went with Heather to get his pictures done along with Kenzie's. He wasn't the most cooperative but we got a few good ones. The pics with the ball is when we were trying to bribe him into smiling. He wanted the ball, so he smiled for it. Isn't that sad that I have to bribe my child? hehe Oh well, I got what I want...a picture with his beautiful smile!!

Yucky Yuck MRSA
So as you all might know, on August 23rd Cameron was admitted to the hospital with a horrible skin infection called MRSA. It was awful. Cameron was real trooper though. He stayed in his bed and overall left his IV alone. He hated every morning since they came in to draw blood but we were lucky enough that he responded well to the antibiotics and got to go home 4 days later. In the pics it doesn't even look like he was sick which was the hard part. He almost acted normal except for the awful looking sore on his thigh.
He had to show off his ouchies for the camera. This one is from getting his blood drawn.
They had a very hard time getting the IV in. His arm is just too chunky! So this one is actually his first IV. They ended up giving him another one on Tuesday because his hand and fingers got really swollen and purple.
Keegan was really worried about his brother. He didn't do well at all when they had to put the first IV in and then he kept asking if Cameron was going to die and how much he loves playing with his little brother. He is such a sweetie and he loves Cameron so much. I think he actually was having just as hard of time as mommy and daddy were. So after school on Monday, I took Keegan to pick out a Get Well balloon and a little get well gift. Keegan thought that was the greatest thing to do. So he picked a balloon, a motorcycle toy and a stuff shark. Cameron to this day still has to sleep with the shark. He LOVED it! So Keegan felt very special. Grandma and Grandpa Gould also sent a teddy bear and some candy in hopes that Cameron would start getting better. He loved the teddy and asked for candy morning, noon, and night.
Once they clarified that he did have MRSA he got this nice little sign in front of his room. The nurses were always all decked out in their garb anytime they came in. Cameron had no idea what to do in the beginning, then it just became something that was boring.
He was so happy to get a clean bed and a clean gown. Even though this is when he needed his second IV. Actually this pic was taken within a few hours after the IV. Mommy was having a harder time with it than he was. As you can see he is as happy as can be.
He was just being really cute that evening so I had to get my close up. His eyes are bright and he looks so happy you wouldn't believe he was in the hospital with something that could very well have killed him.
It was just a really scary situation. Once they started telling us about MRSA and I started researching it, I never realized how bad it could have gotten. There were so many what ifs and what could happen, it was overwhelming. We were just very blessed with friends and family that prayed for him and he was able to respond to the antibiotics and come home earlier. He is still responding very well to his oral antibiotics and hopefully when we go to his check up next week, he will be out of the woods. I hope we never have to go through that again. So THANK YOU everyone who had Cameron in their thoughts and prayers. You help pull him through.

Park Playing
Heather came down to my house one day and we decided to have a picnic dinner with the kids at the park. A storm was rolling in so we weren't able to stay as long as we had wanted but the kids still had fun the little bit that we were there.
Kenzie just enjoyed playing in the pizza. She kept poking at the pizza and then looking at her mommy to see if it was ok. She knew she wasn't suppose to so she had this innocent but guilty look on her face. It was too cute.

Tea time with Mom
So when my mom was up here this summer, we decided to celebrate her 60th birthday (it was WAY early but oh well) since we won't be able to be in Cali for the actual day. We took her to tea and then got some pics done with just her and her daughters. If you knew Heather and my mom, well they are tea fanatics. Heather then got Bri and I hooked on it too. Well being in Idaho I never knew that we had a tea house here. It's not the type of tea house my mom is use to in Cali, which we found out when we drove up to the house.
It was a very old "mansion". I actually really liked. The owner had converted it back to what it would have looked like when it was built. So we walked into the great looking parlor.
Then she took us back one by one and dressed us up with hats, boas and fans. So basically what women would have worn back in the day. So here are all 4 of us ready for some tea. Just like proper ladies. hehe If anyone knows me, I am not a proper lady!
The room that use to be the cigar room, she actually made into the tea room. Kind of sticking it to the man, don't you think!
Mom enjoying her first cup of tea at a very new experience.
Now it is Heather's turn to pose and enjoy!
Bri actually did really well. She had just gotten out of the hospital from her gallbladder surgery. She was a trooper.
And of course they had to get me. I hate it. hehe
At the end of the tea, which was about 2 hours, the owner took us out into the gardens for some pictures and a little reflection time. She had us all make a wish, either to ourselves or out loud, and then had a very nice thank you speech.
It was a very unique time. It still wasn't what I would call tea time, but it was very fun. The food was fantastic and the tea was yummy. Most of all it was a time were I was able to spend time with my mom and my sisters, together. Which has been a long time coming. Maybe it can be a new tradition for us anytime my mom comes up. we will see.

Huckleberry Picking
So every year we try and go huckleberry picking. I have been planning on making jam with it but I never seem to last. One year Heather and I tried a pie, which did not turn out. Oops and then this year I made a huckleberry cobbler which was delicious. Alot better than jam, well at least I think so. So maybe next year we can get enough to do both! Heather and her girls came with us and I think they all had fun.
Kenzie stayed by her mommy's side and helped her pick but she liked the berries too much. They hit her mouth before they even go into the bag.
Cora was a really good picker. She got right into but she had to take moment to pose for the camera.
Alexa and Keegan ate more than they picked, but they had fun doing it. So isn't that what matters the most? Alexa stopped to show me her bag.
Being the same size as the bushes, Kenzie had the perfect view. She played in the berries, the dirt and anything else she could get her hands on.
Cameron had fun hanging out with Daddy and helping him out. He actually ate almost anything he picked but just like his brother he had fun doing it.
I couldn't believe Gabby. She LOVED the huckleberries. She would actually be very careful with the bushes and just slightly put her mouth on the berries and then pull them off. She just kept running around eating the huckleberries off any bush she could find.
All the kids, including Gabby, liked to hang out where Delton was picking. So he had alot of help, even though most of the time he had to go back thorugh the same bushes that they were doing. At least he had some company to entertain him. :)
We had a successful time. Heather got enough for her dessert and I got enough for mine. Even though we had wanted more, we made alot of happy memories and just had a really good time. There is alwaysn next year!
