I gave in

So here is my first attempt at a mohawk. Keegan
has been begging for about a month to go to school
with a mohawk. I keep putting it off and putting it off because
I really didn't want him to go to school with one. The reason...I have
no idea. So that is way I finally caved in. So here are some pics
of a very happy Keegan.
He was being goofy!

Peace out Man!

He makes me laugh when he gets into one of these moods.
Maybe I should do mohawks more often!!

1st Snow Fall

So on Wednesday morning we woke up to this!
Isn't is great? I am now ready for the snow. You kind of
forget how pretty it can be and we have just had
crazy weather for the last month or so. I mean
it is November and this is the first, sort of, good
snow fall? Weird ;) btw...the Halloween decorations
are now put away. We were kind of being a little lazy.
My lovely new car that just got a bath, of course.
Doesn't it always happen that way!

When I woke up this morning we still have about 75%
of the snow still on the grass. The roads are clear now
but the snow stuck around on our yards. Maybe we will get more
and get this winter going!

Halloween!!

Halloween is here and we had a blast!!
Cameron was a little upset having to wait
but we finally got on our way.

We were lucky to have Aunt Heather, the girls, and Aunt Bri come with us. Trying to get all kids looking at the camera and smiling...yeah this is the best we got.

Here are my boys ready to go. Cameron is happier and doing his cheesey grin and Keegan just wants candy.

Kenzie was nice and toasty warm in her costume and she was happy to be out too.

Delton and I took turns taking Cameron up to the door. He was excited at first untill he realized he couldn't eat every candy he got. So there was a few tears but he got into the spirit after a few houses.

Cora, Alexa and Keegan were racing to each house and it was hard to keep up with them. It's funny how "free candy" gets kids excited.

My sisters!! I just love having them up here and being able to do all the fun stuff together. I just hope our trick or treating wasn't too boring for Heather and the girls. I know it is just a little different than Cali. Well at least this year it was warmer. We actually didn't have to put long johns on or our winter coats, which is always nice. Everyone can see the costumes this time!

I know this picture sucks but if you look hard enough Delton and Cameron are in there!
So that was the last picture we could take. We were out for about an hour and the kids got their candy and we got ours! Everyone hung out for a little bit after trick or treating and the kids took turns passing out candy to the trick or treaters at our house. It almost seemed they had more fun doing that than getting their own candy. Overall it was a good night and another Halloween to put in our memory books.

Pumpkin Carving

So here is our night of pumpkin carving. Delton and I decided to
buy one of those pumpkin carving kits. We thought we would see
how good they worked and maybe Keegan would be
able to use it too. Cameron thought it was great to
get his hands all dirty in the pumpkin guts. Keegan still
hates to clean out the pumpkin but he did a pretty good job.

Cameron is still cheesing it up with the camera and
Keegan is pretty proud of his clean out job.

Keegan was in such deep concentration. He drew
his own face on the pumpkin and he basically
carved out 95% of the face.
He did a great job and he was so happy
he did it all himself.

Cameron had to help Mommy with his pumpkin.
Keegan was never really interested in the pumpkins
when he was little but Cameron is the complete opposite.
He had to be right in there with me. He kept taking the
puncher and poking into all the cuts I already did.
He kept him happy and it worked.

Like father like son, Delton is in deep concentration too.
The kit we bought had alot of different patterns that you can try.
So Keegan picked out the ones he wanted us to carve into
our pumpkins. Delton ended up doing the wolf one and I
did that cross bones.
So here is out finished projects!! YEAH...every year I
swear I am not carving something different and I still
do it. It takes me twice as long as Delton but I still do it.
So the pumpkins go as follows...just in case you can't tell...
(starting left to right) Delton = Howling Wolves
Amber = Skull and crossbones
Keegan = Toothy Grin
Cameron = Happy Pumpkin
This is our attempt at trying to get a good picture
with the lights off. Good enough right?

One last try at a good picture. We had a blast. The kids
where way excited and even though Cameron tuckered out
before Delton and I started on ours, Keegan was our cheering section.
He kept walking back and forth between Delton and I telling us
"Good Job" and "You need to be careful" and "That looks great".
So it was a fun filled night and pumpkins can be annoying but too fun
to sit out.

Central Halloween Carnival

On Saturday it was Keegan's turn to show off
his school. It was time for his Halloween Carnival! He was so excited to show Cora and Alexa his classroom, where he has recess and all of the other exciting places in his school. We decided to go ahead and walk to the carnival as we waited for The LaRue's and Bri. My boys are just too cute...all 3 of them! Keegan got a cold so he had to be way bundled up.

I finally got some pictures of Cameron with his hood up. He hates it so much he is always pulling the hood off. So here you can finally get a picture of his total costume.

I like the gold "flames" coming out of the nose. At least it is toasty warm for him. He got to fish for prizes and he didn't want to give up the fishing pole.

Keegan and Alexa had a ball playing this game. They both did really well. I was suprised at Keegan. He isn't the most coordinated and throwing a ball isn't a strong trait of his but he got all of the balls in the bucket but one. GO KEEGAN!!! Maybe he will be able to do t-ball next year. Overall the carnival was a success and everyone came over after to have dinner at our house. I know our house is on the small side but I love having everyone there. It just makes it that much cozier!

Burton's Halloween Carnival

So on Friday night we were able to go have some fun with The LaRue's. Cora and Alexa's school was having their Halloween Carnival. The kids were beyond excited. They got to get dressed in their costumes and go have a night of fun games. As you can see Keegan was a pirate and Cameron was a dragon. Alexa was a fairy, Cora was a china girl and Kenzie was a pea in a pod. Delton was just a Daddy!!

These pictures are of Cameron and Keegan having a face off in tic-tac-toe. I was just a helper, I didn't sway Cameron at all...hehe. It was a draw though. Cameron had fun throwing the pumpkins and then he cried because he wanted to take them with him. It was fun though.

Cheesy grins

So here are just some fun pictures that we took last night. Cameron kept pointing to the camera and doing his cheesy grin, so I figured while he was cheesing it up might as well take some pics. Cameron also has a thing about putting buckets on his head. So had to capture that and Keegan was having fun just doing his thing. It's very rare when I get both of them at the same time wanting to have their picture taken. Also Delton was in on it, which is another rarity. So we had some fun. And of course I had to add Gabby into the picture fun!
