Some Winter Time Fun

Once again I am finding it hard to keep up with this blog...so everyone I am sorry. So here is alittle recap on what has been going on this winter. At the end of October, as most of you know, my Grandmother passed away. We all were able to make it down to Cali for the funeral and some quality time to spend with my parents. Even though the reason for the trip was not a happy one, the trip itself turned out great. Here are some pics of our dinner at Bubba Gumps after the funeral.

My mom and dad treated all the grandkids to the flashy light cups so of course we needed some pics with them in it. Thank you Grandma and Papa!!

My boys are still loving those cups. We have to use them at dinner quite frequently.

I actually got Delton to smile for once!!! And it is a real smile, not one of his smirks that he does in pictures. Ahhhh...he actually loves me. :) hehe

My mom and dad up near the light house outside of Bubba Gumps...aren't they just gorgeous? I love you mom and dad and you guys are a very good looking couple!!!

Around the beginning of December we always get our Christmas tree. We lucked out this year and got a pretty good looking tree for just $30! The rules at our house is Delton does the lights on the tree and then the boys and I hang up the decorations and the ornaments.

Every year we switch off with the boys on who gets to put the angel on top of the tree. Cameron was so excited to do it, he couldn't even wait till the tree was decorated. So wa had to do it a little backwards and put on the angel on top first. Oh well...as long as Cameron is happy!

Cameron was getting really frustrated on putting the ornaments on tree because they kept on sliding off, so I had to sit down (since bending over right now is not very attractive)and help him with his ornaments. So as if today, most of the ornaments are at the bottom of the tree. I still love it!

As you can tell Gabby was really excited about the tree! This is what she did the whole time. :) So much for the whole family helping.

The finished product...not too bad! We had to get the family picture in front of the tree...some clothed, some not! :) I figure you all are use to seeing Delton without a shirt on.

I was trying to get the "perfect" shot of the boys in front of the tree but they had other ideas. The were enjoying goofing off too much to sit still long enough for me. So it is a "perfect" pic for my boys!

We got a nice little storm roll in one night and it dumped just enough to have some fun in the snow. Keegan was trying to show Cameron how to build a snow cave but there just wasn't enough snow to dig one, so they ended up making some snow beds.

Keegan has gotten really good at making snow angels and just loves it.

Cameron wasn't too thrilled about laying down in the snow. He said it was just too cold and so he missed out on the pic.

And of course Gabby had to get in on the fun! She just loves her frisbee...even in the winter!

Delton got his workout for the day pulling the boys on the sleds. This was just going down our street and the boys had SOOO much fun!
They took turns on the sled by themselves and then together.

They were laughing, smiling, giggling and just having a good ole time. Their smiles were just priceless.

And Delton sure did sleep that night, really well.

We are all doing really well this winter season so far. Not too many colds and Baby Kyler is still "cooking". Christmas is just 2 days away and I can't wait to see the boys faces! Bud and Sheila had made it home for the holidays and it was great to see them. Hopefully we can get alot of time together while they are here. The next few weeks will be interesting...we have the new year, my due date rapidly approaching, painting and getting the nursery done before he arrives, my mom will be up at the end of Jan, welcoming another nephew and everything else that can happen!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Swim Fun

While we were in Cali for Mimi's funeral, the weather decided to grace us with GREAT temps. A little warm for what we were use to, but the kids loved it! Grandma and Papa was nice enough...THANK YOU THANK YOU...to get the pool heater going, just to take the chill out of the pool. The kids couldn't wait to get in the pool. So here are some of the highlights of the swimming experience.

Getting ready for Halloween

Our Halloween this year was a little different. We got our house all set and ready for Halloween.

Keegan had fun helping me figure out the saying for our tombstones! Then of course we had to play dead next to his.

Then about a week and a half before Halloween my Grandma had a major stroke and passed away a week later. So So we had the priviledge of spending Halloween with Grandma and Papa in California.
The kids had a blast in the nice warm weather (it was 90!!.) We got to pick pumpkins in a Cali pumpkin patch.

Then we carved the pumpkins with Grandma and Papa. I don't have the finished product since the picture was taken with Papa's camera. Let me tell you though, all of the pumpkins turned out GREAT!

Grandma and Papa's ward had a HUGE truck or treat with a dinner that we went too. It was a complete and total success. The kids got a TON of candy and just had some good ole fun doing it.

Then we took them to our old haunting ground in Arcadia and did a little more trick or treating. We didn't last too long since babies were getting tired and mommy's and daddy's were getting tired too.

Overall I think Halloween was a big success. We had fun just being with my mom and dad even though it wasn't under the best of circumstances.

School Carnival

On Saturday Keegan's school hosted their annual Halloween Carnival and the boys were so excited to finally put on their costumes.

Keegan is Ghost Rider this year. He has fallen in LOVE with the movie and just had to be him for Halloween. The mask didn't quite work for him so I tried my hand at face painting. I think I did a pretty good job being the first time I have ever face painted. Well Keegan was proud of how he looked so that is all that matters.

It took forever to decide on what Cameron was going to be. At first he wanted to be Thomas the Train, then it was Sponge Bob and when I couldn't find the costumes I had no idea what to do. Well Old Navy pulled through and I found a few that I liked. So I had Cameron pick one out and of course he didn't want any of them. So I over ruled and picked the tiger. He LOVES it. He has been begging to wear it since we had brought it home.

I thought I would see how he would do with face paint before Halloween came. Well he sat through the whole thing without any complain and he barely even touched his face throughout the night. He was such a champ! When I had to wash it off that night, he was quite sad. "No more Rah Rah Mama" he kept telling me.

Heather and the girls meet us there and they all had a blast. Heather made the girls vampire costumes and I think she did a GREAT job! GO HEATHER!!!!

Delton helped out while I took the pictures. They had to try their hand at the cupcake walk and luck was not on our side. None of the kids got one. Oh well there is always next year right?

Overall the kids had a blast as usual. Both the boys didn't want to take their costumes off or even wash their make up off. But we finally got them all cleaned up with the promise of doing it all over again in a few days!

The Fair

Another tradition that I have come to adopt, which means Delton has adopted it too is going to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. I love just going. So off we were to the fair.

Both Cameron and Keegan had a blast on this "train". Keegan was in the lady bug and Cameron had the goose. The kid who was driving the four wheeler that pulled the train gave the kids a great ride. There were laughs all around.

The petting zoo has become a #1 place to stop with the boys. Cameron went right on in and had no problem feeding the goats. Keegan has become Mr. Independant with the animals. He doesn't want my help anymore and he kind of goes off on his own. It's actually quite cute but at the same time a little sad.

When we walked past these bears, Keegan just had to get all the info on them. Cameron wasn't too sure about them. Once we spent a few minutes near them and he realized that they weren't real, he was ok to pose by them. So this is my boys being bears! Not very convincing is it? LOL

The next place we have come to learn there is not getting out of it, is the fairway. The boys are loving it now! Keegan is getting big enough that he can ride the bigger "kiddie" rides and he loves it. Cameron of course wants to go on anything Keegan does so it was a little disappointing for him when he couldn't. He still had a lot of fun on his rides.

Keegan remembered the slide from last year, so that was a have to ride for him. He just loves going down it.

Delton and Cameron just enjoyed all the sights and sounds of the fairway. You can just tell that they are having a good time. We all were.

So at the end of the day, we hit the food court of course. I had to have a funnel cake and Delton had his carmel apples. The boys just munched on ours along with their cotton candy. Yum Yum We were going to go and look through some more but the boys were about done and I was too. Being pregnant at the fair took its toll on me and I was ready to go sit down somewhere. I wish I had the energy to stay but I didn't so we decided to go on home. It was a good day and full of many memories! Can't wait to go next year. :)
